botanical garden sessions

i made an afternoon of photo sessions last sunday at the botanical gardens. from 1:30 until 7 every 30 minutes. it was great! many thanks to mama who was my most awesome assistant for the day. i definitely couldn't have done it without her!

happy 3 month anniversary to these two, who just happen to be my brother and sister-in-law. they tied the knot on 10.10.10 and i had the privilege of photographing their wedding. there's really way too many 'favorites' to put on the blog, so i'll stick to a few of my top picks, including one wedding party "thriller" shot. they all learned the dance to thriller to perform at the reception. classic!

the mountains, the belly, the love and the smiles

it's always an honor to be asked by your friends to do a shoot for them. it's so special for me that they trust lil' ole' me to be able to capture a day in their life that will live on in photo albums for years to come. it is my hope that these two dear, sweet friends can look back on these one day years from now and instantly be transported back to the emotions and feelings at this point in their lives--the excitement, nervousness and sheer happiness that shows in every.single.shot.
